Senior trip was definitely something this year. First, let me say that I'm proud to be part of one of the few senior classes in which everyone attended. Plus, we had an alumni and a former student with us.
It all started at Bayside with a late departure, meaning a late embarkation for us. All of us wanted to stay in line so we didn't lose our place, but they basically kicked us out. In retrospect, that was a good thing, because I bought myself a nice bathing suit picked out by Ariel and Nya.
When we got on (late), then came first things first: set up a Sail and Sign card, attend the mandatory safety orientation, and eat dinner.
Dinner. I loved our hosts from dinner. As the head host said many times, "It is not only our purpose to serve, but to entertain." They definitely lived up to that by dancing to Gangnam Style for us.
Other than dinner in Monet, there were a lot of other great things about the ship. They had deck parties with all kinds of music: reggae, Latin, etc. They also aired movies such as Hunger Games and The Vow. There was a Comedy Club, 24 hour room service, an arcade, shops on the fifth floor, live music, Jacuzzis, Guy's Burger Joint...what was there not to like?
But I'm not done yet. That was just a piece of what went on on the boat. Off the boat is a whole 'nother story! We visited Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. They all had beautiful beaches, good food, stylish clothes and accessories, and awesome souvenirs. My favorite island had to be Honduras. The water was so cold and refreshing; I could take a dive in it any and every day there. It also had beautiful green mountains in the distance, unlike the other countries. At the end of the day on our way back to the ship, they played Cupid Shuffle and Wobble, which some of my classmates and I eagerly danced to.
This fantastic experience, made possible by none other than Mrs. Martinez, has convinced all of us that we want to go back on a Disney Cruise in the next two years. Au revoir!
