As some of you may know, my class had a BBQ last Friday that had the best food bought by my classmates and grilled by two awesome, selfless helpers- Mr. Summers (Dave) and Mr. Mac. It was pretty much planned the day before, but everyone still pulled together to put in their part to make it a successful BBQ. And guess what? It paid off BIG TIME! In one day, we made $322! And that's excluding donations. I'm looking forward to the BBQ that my class is going to have tomorrow because we're going to make even more money since we have new items on the menu. At this rate, I know that we have prom paid for, and I'm hoping to start putting in money for our senior trip accounts, and maybe even souvernir money if we can make that much mula. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Wish us the best!
My Christmas break was great. My mom came down from Tallahassee to visit, and it was good to spend some time with her. She had to leave the day after Christmas, but she came back for a job interview. Also, even though I got NOTHING that was on my Christmas wishlist (see previous blog), I got a lot of good gifts. I got $60 in cash from my Auntie, a JC Penny gift card from my cousin, Christmas tree earrings from Jeniffer, and the best of all were artist sketch pencils from Briana. I'm still waiting on Gueshnia's gift; she said she was going to give hers slowly and that I'm last -_- Any who, on top of that, I went back to Santa's Enchanted Forest with my church youth group. The last time I've been there was when I was about three, so it was like my first time going. I went on all the crazy rides, except for one roller coaster that my friends were too scared to go on. I also got to Monsters Inc in 3-D. I think the best part of the break was when my friend Meredith came over to visit. I say this because she was my best friend from middle school. While she was here, she drew a really cool picture of me! So, yeah, that was my break in a nutshell. How was yours?
