"Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything's possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time." -Legend by Marie Lu
Over the summer, I read an action-packed,
film-licous, marvelous, jaw-dropping, heart-wrenching trilogy!.... or at least the first two books. The first book was Legend and the second one was Prodigy.
It's another dystopian series, but, other than that, it's not like the Hunger Games at all. The plot, setting, characters, and twists and turns are totally different in every sense of the word.
Words cannot describe how quickly I was captivated book series.
It's about a wanted boy code-named Day whose trying to get vaccines for his family (his mother doesn't know that he's alive). It's also about a girl named June who's basically a prodigy academic-wise and military-wise.
Their paths meet when Day is accused of killing June's brother, Metias, when he catches him for stealing for the vaccines. June was then sent to hunt Day down.
Not only is the series good, but I love the author, too! She's a talented artist who drew all the pictures below and she's a fan of Avatar! She's even met the creators of the show! Of all the people in the upper sphere of life who I'd love to chat over lunch with, she's got to be one of the top five.
I know she's sure to write a wonderful concluding novel to her trilogy which comes out November 5th. Can't wait to read it.
