"...it was dead..."
The colors were red, gold, and black, but I had already bought a prom dress long ago. It was midnight blue, but I had a Japanese fan that just so happened to match the dress. So, in a way, I matched the theme and didn't match the theme.
Dressed up and ready to go, I was excited about this year's prom knowing that the sponsor's put so much work into it. When I got there, however, it was very calm...and the lights were all on...and it was 9:30 when I got there. It was dead. It seemed more like a fancy dinner than a NCA dance, because everyone would be dancing if they DJ played the right music.
Ms. Fox and Ms. Ironman noticed, too, and told the DJ about it. Still nothing. Then, Ms. Ironman threatened to not pay him unless he gets us dancing. That's when it got started!
The lights went off, the fog machined was steamin', and the music we were craving for was played. From Wobble to Turn Down for What to Get Jazzy on Them to Street Bully Walk, it was a night of fun.
I also got to take home a prom martini glass as well as a framed picture of my class.
So, if you thought by the quote that this blog would be a rant about a boring night, sorry to trick you. It was fun, and I'm glad I went.
